Nevada SNAP Nutrition Education (NV SNAP-Ed)

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program–Education (SNAP-Ed) provides free nutrition and physical activity education to SNAP participants and individuals eligible for SNAP. SNAP-Ed is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS). In Nevada, SNAP-Ed is administered by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Social Services (DSS).

NV SNAP-Ed programs help children, youth, adults, and families learn how to buy and prepare healthy foods on a budget, increase physical activity, and support long-term health. Programs are offered in schools, early care and education settings, community centers, food banks, libraries, grocery stores, and other community locations across Nevada.
